Have I missed the window for getting off the program? - Microsoft Community

hi all,

i'm on build 16170, every time i've tried come off program on past few weeks it's told me i'm on prerelease build , it'll lot of hassle come off (my own words).

if try says might (i think) have reinstall programs.  have missed window getting off program , have wait months next opportunity?

if still have windows old folder can go using recovery mode.

click on win logo in task bar , hold shift key while click on restart recovery mode.

edit: if not have windows .old have use media creation tool.

you have prepare little better can go public build.

you should backup apps not standard new windows 10 builds usb key along documents, photos or files of kind not want loose.

then need download media creation tool at

you need new or usb key can hold install files on usb key erased tool process when creates needed install latest public build.

when install done should have non insider windows public build , if computer had activated windows 10 on in past not need activate it.

then can make sure on how of files still on computer , move thing not need belongs , reinstall of apps saved there install files other usb key.

all of little more work if want stay on public build way unless made system image backup before let system update 1 of redstone builds.
