i selling desktop , switching laptop. there way keep windows insider licence , how?

there no unique windows 10 insider preview license. device either has windows 10 license or not. digital license activate both insider , public builds (but on licensed device device only).

stand-alone windows software can legally transferred device, long first removed original device. if change motherboard, computer looks new device , windows lose activation. activation troubleshooter can used transfer previous windows digital license new hardware, first indicating have change hardware. however, digital license transfer, via troubleshooter, not work between desktop , laptop, not same device new parts.

prior july 2015, there insider builds activated using insider product key. shortly before first public release of windows 10 switched using digital entitlement. since time, device has have digital license windows 10 in order activate windows 10. digital license activate both public , insider builds same edition (home, pro, etc.). during first year upgrade windows 7 or 8 10 gain windows 10 digital license free. today, assistive technology user upgrades can still upgrade windows 10 free (from windows 7 or 8).

there devices began windows 10 insider product key activation (that never had windows 7 or 8 license originally) , have never lost digital license. since can no longer activate windows 10 insider product key, can no longer happen.

but when comes testing windows 10, running without activation works well, except settings found under personalization section.
