internet explorer won't install - Microsoft Community


i'm running windows 7  32bit , updates current, i've been trying install ie 11 because mcafee says ie corrupted , needs fixed, i've downloaded folder microsofts own site when run box saying installing ie opens green bar doesn't start , 30s later box closes , message saying ie has been install hasn't, if search of computer can't find trace of ie.

any problem gratefully received.

...today opened ie11 via start menu , box opened asking me if wanted make ie11 default browser, clicked yes restarted laptop, have ie11 browser , seems working properly. 

when go custom (<=important!) section of set program access , computer defaults, "use current browser" checked/enabled again but now it'll be "pointing to" internet explorer. iow don't need change anything.

marking 1 or more of my previous posts answer will officially close thread (if care such things).
