in previous versions of microsoft windows, excluding 8.0; 8.1; , current version 10. adult users such parents , guardians limit child's activities not blocking websites, creating whitelist of applications can used child. feature not available on current windows 10 builds, @ time of writing; or if available not obvious adult.
i have discovered despite limiting access websites, using current family feature in windows 10, there no limit on following:
1. apps shown in store
2. installation of store apps without admin rights. clarify parent, adult, receives notification install but child can install app. time parents realise may be few hours, depending on frequency of email checks.
3. apps in store access internet, say iptv apps, nasa apps, etc. have video playback, or access internet, through app not limited. child can install such apps despite setting correct age group in family account.
i suggest microsoft takes charge of issue, feature many parents, adults, towards better control and not informed child's activities.
i suggest microsoft provides check box next each app on store adults allow sharing in microsoft family, parent, adult decides default being deny access.
