Photo App crashes when I open photos in File Explorer - Microsoft Community

when double click on photo in explorer view in windows 10 photo app, odd crash:

first, see upper left-hand corner of picture 2 seconds, photo app screen disappears, , i'm in explorer.

otoh, if copy photo in question pictures folder, open photo app, can find , view photo fine.

this doesn't happen - happens more half time, kinds of photos.

edit: record: have repeatedly tried uninstalling app in powershell, reinstalling windows store. no change.
