Default app designations - Microsoft Community


i trying select ie browser default. going in settings, going default applications, selecting web browser, selecting ie.....nothing happens. did reset windows defaults , got rid of google chrome , few others, default application allow me change changing groove music default windows media player. others won't change no matter select.

any ideas?

i've rebooted several times. had update came through allowed install , reboot, still nothing.

address concern, windows 10 up-to-date? also, have tried setting google chrome default browser through web browser itself?
