Why can't I change the default search option and home page in - Microsoft Community


i had reset asus computer. running microsoft edge on windows 10 computer. have tried change default home page , search engine several times. even though settings show desired sites, microsoft edge keeps opening yahoo search page. pressing home icon brings yahoo page.

windows defender reports no problems malware or virus, although can't wonder if somehow edge hacked. 

appreciate getting , doing troubleshooting steps.  if issue persists, recommend create new user account on computer , check if encounter same issue edge. steps on how create new user account, refer following link: create local user account in windows 10.
