Windows Phone Notification problem with Whatsapp - Microsoft Community

recently (about 2 month or so), whatsapp not notify message received(delivered), have manually launch app , wait few seconds messages starting load , messages sent me while ago (some 2-3 hours, because didn't launch app check), double check phone settings ie: notification, lockscreen, action center...etc seems correct.

i wondering if has similar problem nokia phone windows 8.1 os , apps' updated? quite annoying , defect purpose of having "instant messaging" app.

i know in windows phone 8.1 there setting meant phone not connect internet when screen switched off, , cause of not receiving messages, app isn't able them through internet.

i don't have phone wp 8.1 on more (only windows 10 mobile now), if go wifi settings, , data settings, through settings make sure such function not switched off. remember, check-box.

if have checked , fine, suggest make sure have backed-up messages (tap on ... (ellipses) in whatsapp -> settings -> chats , calls -> backup), uninstall whatsapp, , go store , install again. tends solve such problems.

if don't have phone has sd card, suggest backing-up through onedrive have experienced when deleted app, there no backup restore from and lost previous messages, second layer of safety have messages entirely restored. :)
