Build 16160 won't logon or allow to return to older version - Microsoft Community


hi,

i updated through fast ring build 16170 prerelease today , can't login anymore. windows show logon screen, not logon field enter password. restarted multiple times, same behavior. tried fixing through bootup menu, neither returning older build nor returning factory state won't work due unknown error. can restart safe mode, allows me login , desktop. can access settings, except windows update, crash , close whenever openend. 

probably have reinstall windows scratch, unless know how fix error. maybe other people have issue, too?

thank quick replies, trivial cure problem disconnecting usb printer, solved problem. can login in normal mode , access windows update without issues, i'm updating.  

before, not able restore earlier point, neither safe mode nor advanced repair menu @ boot.

the motherboard msi z97 gaming 5 intel z97 so.1150, cpu intel i7 4790k.
