Error opening the store - Microsoft Community

if can connect internet using phone's browser not able download or update apps or games store, try these steps:

on phone
check phone set correct date , time.
  1. select settings time , language date+time (lumia windows phone 8: settings > date+time).
  2. turn set date , time automatically to off, , manually set current date, time , zone.
sync microsoft account manually , check status.
  1. select people > ... > settings, tap , hold microsoft (outlook) account , select synchronize (lumia windows phone 8: settings > email+accounts, tap , hold microsoft (windows live) account , select sync).
  2. wait phone sync , continue next step. if error, use browser , try searching online find support article error code.
go store , check if app or game remains in downloading phase without finishing, cancel pending downloads, restart phone , manually check app or game update store. recommend keep phone connected charger , wifi network when checking app updates.

  1. select store >  menu > download , updates (lumia windows phone 8: store > ... downloads), or tap icon shows count of pending downloads.
  2. if of them indicates error, see details, tap on more details. delete app queue, tap on app , tap x to stop download , remove queue. lumia windows phone 8: if of them indicates attention required, tap on more details. delete app queue, tap , hold it, select cancel download.
  3. lumia windows 10: make sure phone doesn’t have software update pending going to settings > update & security phone update.
  4. restart phone , start manual check app updates. go to store >  menu > download , updates (lumia windows phone 8: store >  > settings, tap check updates). @ bottom of screen see check updates. after checking updates, select update all from top of screen.
  5. keep phone connected charger , wifi network , leave untouched while it’s attempting download app updates.
on microsoft account
check if issue caused incomplete information in microsoft account profile.
  • if not have microsoft account, can create one here, or phone.
  • if cannot access account, reset microsoft account password online, enter new password account on phone: go to settings > accounts > your email , accounts (lumia windows phone 8: settings > email+accounts) and select the email check box appears under microsoft account.
  1. use browser, sign in to account.microsoft.com with microsoft account email address.
  2. if email address not verified, tap the verify email address link , receive email microsoft account team instructions on verifying address.
  3. tap basic info, make sure have given your date of birth correctly in details. required verify age.
if have new device associated microsoft account may have reached device limit. remove devices no longer have or use:
  • important: using de-provision phone microsoft services, , require hard reset before phone can used again.
  1. browse to account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in microsoft account email address.
  2. next phone remove, select remove.
  3. select the i'm ready remove device check box , confirm removal.
