Lumia 550 problems with hard reset and power/volume buttons - Microsoft Community

hi there,

i have been having few problems on last few days lumia 550, have checked of forums not managed fix phone completely.

it started few days ago lightning bolt , cog screen appearing. able hard reset power , volume down buttons. yesterday the lightning bolt , cog screen appeared again , hard reset options not fix problem. way can switch phone off take battery out , when restart it, the lightning bolt , cog screen appear again. have tried reset phone using ms recovery tool, no luck.

today have been able start phone , past the lightning bolt , cog screen repeatedly , rapidly pressing power , volume buttons, phone has issue linked. power button acts activate screenshot function. if hold long time (maybe 20 seconds) reboot phone (back the lightning bolt , cog screen). volume buttons not change volume level , not appear anything.

can help? buttons seem stuck in screenshot taking mode only. there way of changing these usual function?

the lightning bolt , gear symbol on luima 500 means phone unresponsive.

if phone has memory card, trying removing it.

if issues persists after removing memory card, reset phone doing following:

1. press , hold the volume down and power buttons @ same time until feel vibration (about 10 15 seconds).
2. when feel vibration, release buttons, , press , hold the volume down button until see large exclamation mark.
3. once exclamation mark appears, press following 4 buttons in order: volume up, volume down, power, volume down. phone should reset , restart itself. (it might take while reset finish.)

let know happens after doing mentioned troubleshooting steps.
