UUP - what an incredibly awfully written process! :( - Microsoft Community

 i created freshly formatted 50 gb partition on hard drive, clean installed 16215 dvd in 18 minutes.  left windows nothing else installed , started update 16226.  getting through until ready first restart took 1 hour 50 min.  write better update program in sleep!  :(
 obviously uup going hdd see needs updated next @ each step when keep table in memory status of every windows file in 600 meg (that's 0.6 gb know).  there under 150,000 total files in windows 10 pro, that's 4 bytes per file in 0.6 gb.  1st stage of update runs in 2.5 gb when of have 8 gb in 64 bit systems.  means 5.5 gb of ram unused while uup beating poor hard drive death.

 

 this extremely past due ms fix or give old far superior update process pcs.  ms employees have posted notes here want use uup , not create isos.  cooperation 2 way street.  i'll use uup upgrade process 2 ssd systems, 4 hdd systems, i'll make isos or not upgrade them until , unless ms fixes ridiculous mess uup is.  :(

i think microsoft has been trying unsuccessfully persuade high school sophomore developed uup come summer , straighten up. (some observers said kept falling asleep while working on it.) seems have lost interest in it, they're hoping desk trainee take over, rumor goes.
