Unable to get further Windows Insider Preview updates - Microsoft Community

my windows 10 insider preview @ build 14986. not able further updates in windows update section. results "your device date" everytime check updates there.

any solution?

i tried restarting wuauserv service, troubleshooted windows update

i tried this, downloaded iso , ran setup.exe file. after process, computer rebooted , installation failed.

error code: 0xc1900101 - 0x20017

the installation failed in safe_os phase error during boot operation

a clean install simplest solution. mean creating bootable usb stick (or dvd) 15002 iso, booting pc that; deleting hard disk partitions , installing windows 10 empty disk. create default partition layout on disk. obviously, mean backing data , software install files need.

however, may possible troubleshoot why failing in safe_os phase , resolve that. there should logs written during upgrade attempt.

but first, here list of things try might enable upgrade succeed:

• completely uninstall non-microsoft anti-virus software.
• perform clean boot before upgrading. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135
• disconnect unneeded peripherals, such devices connected via usb , sd cards.
• disable network adapters after build has downloaded before restarts, or before running setup.exe, if upgrading via mounted iso or windows 10 install media.
  • sometimes disconnecting internet, such unplugging ethernet cable, enable stalled upgrade complete.

i had of above wife's pc upgrade "anniversary update" version last august, though installing iso, are.
