Lumia 640 Bluetooth issue - Microsoft Community

hi:

i'm using lumia 640 with fast ring build 15014.  since 3 builds ago, i've had issue bluetooth. 

i can't pair, things worked prior 'xxxxxx' build worked fine; multiple speakers, fitbit and car.  now, nothing works.  sees fitbit, says it's paired, fitbit app says it's not connected , after testing, not.  5 different bluetooth speakers used have connected no longer connect , don't show in list of available devices.  if choose 'add bluetooth of other device' , try add speaker, example, may show in list (some do, don't) but after it goes through 3 seconds of 'connecting', says (in yellow) "couldn't connect.  try connecting again". 

my son has same phone, same build , bluetooth stopped working @ around same time.

fyi - i've done hard reset , have wiped phone twice , reinstalled os with no luck.

anyone have ideas?

we suggest use the windows device recovery tool. start downloading , installing windows device recovery tool (for windows 10, 8.x , 7).

when installation has finished, start application , main screen appear:

the procedure restore phone using windows device recovery tool follows:

1. connect the phone pc (using usb cable came phone).
2. after few seconds, pc should find phone , you'll see phone selection screen. click phone in screen select it.
3. after few seconds more, latest available firmware version device shown. click 'install software'/'reinstall software' button flash phone

windows device recovery tool download , install latest firmware + os available phone

note! your phone reset factory status when using tool.
