PC Reviver driver updates altered my BIOS and now it says it is an HP - Microsoft Community


pc reviver driver software updated 6 drivers on hp pavilion dv9810us (a old notebook pc).  now bios reports pc dv9700, totally wrong.  i've tried , can't fix it.  it not presently running.  how old dv9810us bios setting?

any ideas appreciated.., @ end of rope.

i recommend sending authorized hp repair center, not send best buy since old. refuse work on because want buy new one. bios needs reset, , since updated way was, more need removed , replaced if possible. manufacturers of laptops soldered in bios chips making difficult remove , replace yourself.

p.s. know best buy's repair policy because last may living in las vegas , had hp laptop dated 2011. lcd monitor went out , wanted them repair it. told me laptop old, refused consider repairing it.
