cannot connect internet on laptop, have missed couple of updates. need update, vicious circle, can't online. have phoned internet provider sky, microsoft issue. advice appreciated. thank you.  Internet Explorer / Internet Explorer Unknown/Other / Other/Unknown

i working on activex. after building , registering 32 bit version, worked on ie 11. then built 64 bit version of same project. unregistered 32 bit version, , registered 64 bit version. tried open 64 bit ie 11 in admin mode. didn't work. when tried same 64 bit .ocx file on windows 7 os, ie 9, worked properly. what should do? tried open 64 bit ie 11 in admin mode. what steps did take doing that?  default ie in os runs 32-bit tab tasks, in epm.   there is a compatibility option allows run 64-bit tab tasks in epm knows if "enhanced protected mode" allow activex used?  otherwise point of it? c.f. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/asiatech/2013/12/25/how-internet-explorer-enhanced-protected-mode-epm-is-enabled-under-different-configurations/ btw there specific msdn forum available discussing developer issues ie browser extensions.   fyi robert aldwinckle --- ...

when browsing ie11 on  win 10 experience 100% disk use (saturation).  problem began system shutting down site , restored using pop up.  each update win 10 problem worsened , attempt connect website using ie11 results in totally frozen computer.  problem not occur different browser (firefox).  unfortunately ie interwoven win10 system , can not eliminated.  have performed system check diagnostic , tried clean boot.  there neither noted problems or improvement.  have toshiba s55-a5295 3630q quad core processor, 12g of ram , 1tb hd.  when disklashing occurs processor , memory show negligible use.  doubt result of hardware deficiency since other browsers can operate properly.  task manager not show operation using disk space all  applications , background processes showing little or no use.  many blogs seem identify problem, none offer solutions not risky.  can help? ...

recently had *reinstall* op/sys. something got user profile documents & corrpted files including network ability connect internet. not wanting dump op/sys chose route of using install disc *overwrite* current system correct corrupt dll's. by using *upgrade* option install disc rewrote files correct corrupted files. all went well, system running fine once again exception of win7sp1 packaged ie8, , overwrote ie11 using. now cannot either ie10 or 11 back system. i've reseached , found answers anomaly regards hybrid graphics cards or system restore not running or update turned off. discount of scenerios, not come play. i baffled has happened, not know has changed, going microsoft link on explanation why browser not install there option *manually* install pre-requisites kb files, cannot install of 5 of them as  *the service cannot started, don't have device enabled associated it*, oddly displayed .msu files not .msi ...

have added edge. popup occurs when try log on secure website saying "this site wants know user name , password" , wants enter information in popup. hi, to further assist edge problem occurring windows 10 pc, may know if have installed january 10, 2017 update? did mandated account , password sign in pop started happen when have installed update? we forward response. yesterday received notification there problem hardware device, did not advise which.  recommended running device repair, did, , since cursor has disappeared.  i've tried can think of, disabling , re-enabling, reinstalling mouse software, , starting feel novice.  has else experienced behavior, or have clue on how restore cursor? thank you. thank you, hector.  tried various suggestions restore cursor without luck.  having worked in support twenty-five years, knew asus' support response 'undo' whatever had done make cursor go away, , luckily, rolling build 16199 did that.  content wait next build won't suppress cursor. build 14986  161202-1928 why windows insider managed telemetry group policy? private computer , not connected organization. i want able turn off windows preview , can not. with out reinstalling windows how fix this? you did install build 14986 preview build. you can't turn off , if don't want run build you'll have reinstall rtm build 14393.
