my daughter rang me today ms edge opening error message can't escape from. i used teamviewer , accessed pc able close edge using task manager when launched edge again came same screen. said had accessed tv10 news when happened, use ie without problems. ran 2 different virus/adware programs , while discovered other disturbing problems unable fix one, have answers? my win10 hp pavilion laptop has no edge browser microsoft tells me endlessly wonderful. has no "all apps" button or link on "start" popup. do? switch apple? ***post moved moderator appropriate category.*** see andre da costa's reply , let me add no matter microsoft tells you, far i'm concerned edge poor browser, perhaps worst 1 available. there many other choices available: 1 microsoft  (internet explorer) , third parties (including personal favorite, firefox), free. better edge. i recommend stop trying use edge, try several others, , choose 1 best. i know has been posted before wondering if new solutions have been found.  i've read articles here , tried except ie reset.  don't want lose passwords , such unwilling try that.  besides i've read not work anyway.  same issue on several web sites.  images show black box , white x.  has same issue whether using aol or chrome.  yes i've tried enhanced thing, security off, trusted site etc., etc., etc. , ever posted except reset.  issue started in last few months.  i've been using computer years with no issues.  odd not occur @ other wireless sites here @ home.  use frontier router here @ home not have settings web sites or downloads aware.  on rare occasion can opposite click on image , choose 'show image' , show it.  of time not work.  @ least 3 web sites consistently affected.  have win8.1 64bit, ie11, aol9.8.2   william i've spent ...
